I'm going to be catching up on the blog this wee. Everyday I'm going to post a photo album that I should have posted ages ago! A lot has happened in the last 12 months that I haven't blogged about properly.

First up! Country Living Fair in Columbus Ohio 2013. This was by far the best set up to date, I hope you enjoy it! I'll be at this show again in September and I hope to see you there too. The dates are Sept. 12, 13, 14, 2014. Click on over to buy up your tickets. I suggest you get the Early Bird tickets, this way you get great deals and first pick of all the goodies! Best of all, no crowds!

You know I'm doing this one first because we are starting to prep for it, right? This show is our best show of the year. It' takes a lot of sewing to get there. : )

This is my lovely spot under the will tree!

This is our cutting table, yes, we cut fabric to order at the show! Cool, right?

Country Living Fair - Rhinebeck!

I am totally excited to be going to the newest Country Living Fair in New York's Hudson River Valley. You'll have to come and check out it out too.

Our BIG news is that Modern June will be adorning the fair with a new oilcloth bunting that is going to be a great BIG fun project for us!! (I mean BIG!)

We'll be there selling our wares and fabrics and I'll be on the main stage doing a demo. This years demo is using our slick fabrics for outdoor fun! Date and time TBA!

My Fair Loot

I only bought a few things... that you can see! Can you tell that the oilcloth bag there is a bit fuller than it was in the morning? The inside is loaded up with presents for my hubby and my kids. I found them all great things in the first 30 minutes. There might be a present for myself in there too.

If your at the Country Living Fair this weekend I hope you come and see what I do these pretties and with all the fabric that I shared on the Modern June blog yesterday. (gotta combine these two blogs) I'll be sure to share the finished projects with you all real soon.

See ya at the fair...

Country Living Austin Dets!

I am so excited to be attending the first Texas Style Country Living this weekend. You know it'll be big if it's in Texas!!

Speaking of big, I have big news... I am going to do a presentation on Saturday at 11:00 and signing books at 12:00. Your coming, right?

So here's what I'm going to do this year, since I won't have a booth I'll spend Friday combing the fair for vintage goodies to rehab with oilcloth, laminated cotton, and chalk cloth. I'll TWEET my way through the fair, so please follow me on Friday and hep me decide what I should buy up.@modernjune and follow #CLFair.

Then on Saturday I'll fix up my finds on the stage, it'll be my own little trash to treasure show. But wait, there's more, I'll even be raffling away a two of the projects to some lucky winners.

It'll be very strange to just go to shop and do a demo, I feel like a princess crafter or something a little less silly. How can I just go and enjoy myself and not be a vendor? We, (Junies and family) thought long and hard about attending the show with all our wares like we've done for the Ohio and Georgia CLFairs. Unfortunately, I just had to say no for this year, 7 months of home reno and life with a teen and a tween just took too much out of me this winter. Basically, my family would have mutinied.

Check out the whole fair event schedule here
Discount advance tickets are on sale on-line until Tuesday 4/24!
Visit countryliving.com/fair for fair videos, photos, & more

Truly incredible shopping is the hallmark of the fair and it's better than ever this time -- an amazing, huge amount of antiques furniture, industrial and primitives, lots of artists and artisans, and the absolutely biggest selection of the cutest handcrafted jewelry you've ever seen. Trust us you won't find a better fair for mother's day gifts OR furnishing a home or apartment. AND there's lots to do in between shopping too!

See you at the fair or on Twitter this weekend,
Kelly

Oilcloth Addict on the road!!

I can't even tell you what it's like to cut fabric out in the open! Just ask my friends Trish, Lydia, Kirsten, Suzanne and Tiffin, they know all too well that's it's totally crazy and super fun. These 5 ladies cut up a ton of my slick fabric in Columbus and Atlanta.

I have to say that it's pretty hard when it's freezing cold in the morning and your hands don't work and the oilcloth is hard. But the crowd is totally awesome and helping all those people as they go ga-ga over oilcloth, chalk cloth and laminated cotton is such fun!!!

I love that there is a show where Modern June meets Oilcloth Addict. That I can do that at the Country Living Fair is such an honor. I really do love what I do and I love sharing it with people that really get it. The CL readers rock my world!!!
Barrels of love, love, love!!
Go, Kirsten, go!!
The team work was wonderful, Kirsten and Suzanne work their tushes off in Atlanta!!

How cute are these girls? I love the look that Trish is giving me it's all, "What are you doing over there?"

Laminated Love!
The Country Living Fair in Columbus cutting table was located under the prettiest tree in the park!!!
Lydia swore she cut 50 yards of oilcloth on Friday alone. That girl can work her tail off and look super cute while doing it.
The best thing about having a cutting table at a show is having a place to do demos.

Atlanta here we come!

This week we will be traveling to our second Country Living Fair, in Atlanta, Georgia! Selling pre-cut oilcloth in Ohio was a big success but people wanted more and sometimes less of what we had to offer, so we decided to improve the situation and cut oilcloth orders at the show. We'll still have our pre-cut pieces for quick sell, we will be loading up our oilcloth lined Ya-Ya cart with 1, 2 and 3 yard cuts. (Want to know how to make a rolling shopping cart liner, just hold on, I'll be making a pattern for this bad girl of a project soon!!!)

Not only will we be selling our Modern June wares and our Oilcloth Addict yardage at the show I'll also be a guest speaker at the Atlanta Country Living Fair. On Sunday October 24th. I will be chatting about how to use oilcloth to decorate the home, "Oilcloth for the Modern Home" will start at noon. See ya at the booth and then again on the Main Stage! To see all the other great programs at this great 3 day event click here!

Come back tomorrow to see how I made our super fun cutting table cover!!!
